1- How can I find the app?

Look for “Tipsy App” on Google Play and search “Tipsy ™” on the App Store. Also, you can download the app through these links from the Google Play store, and the Apple App store.

2- Is it necessary to register in Tipsy?

For using Tipsy you need to be registered, but thanks to our cool Setup Wizard, it should take less than 3 minutes.

3- Why do I need to state my factual data on Tipsy?

Tipsy is easy and fun. But at the same time, it is a FinTech platform which means lots of complexity related to banking regulations are applicable on the backstage. So, we try to make Tipsy as easy as possible but still, we should make a secure platform compatible with the legal requirements.

4- Can I have a nickname on Tipsy?

Yes. You can choose a nickname on the places you work, and the App will show the customers your nickname.

5- Why should I add my bank card?

Tipsy is a platform for micropayments such as tips and donations. So, if you don’t add your card, you can not use the App’s functionalities.

6- Can I use the App for collecting tips but don’t add my bank card?

Yes. If you are using Tipsy just for collecting tips and donations, there is no need to have a credit card on your profile. Instead, you must provide a payout solution which we will use to transfer your funds to it. This solution could be a simple bank account (IBAN) or a Revolut Account (Mobile No.).

7- How often do you transfer the money to my account?

We transfer the funds once a week and if your earning reaches no more than 5 EUR we may wait until you reach the threshold

8- How much does it cost for me to collect tips and donations with Tipsy?

Tipsy charges you a fee for each card process and a residual fee for weekly payout. You can read more about our pricing terms in Pricing section.

9- Why do I am asked to provide a photo in Tipsy?

Tipsy is a FinTech app and hence, we need to be transparent. Especially when you want to tip a person in public, it’s a must to recognize the exact staff in the restaurant. On the other hand, the staff needs to know which customer expressed generosity.

10- How Tipsy can cut the employers legal responsibilities?

If you receive tips through your employer, then he is obliged to pay social security and income taxes for your tips. Due to this, you receive less than half of the tip. However, if you use Tipsy to collect tips, your employer is no longer responsible for the funds you receive directly from the customers. Therefore, it is not necessary he pays social security tax, and in this way, you will get full amount (less our fees) directly to your account. For more accurate information about income tax you better consult with tax authority. Also, you can pay attention to the explanation of Lithuanian tax authority about the direct tipping.

11- How can I make a personalized marketing material?

All Tipsy users having a unique QR-Code which is accessible from the main menu inside the App. Also, you can save it and use it with Tipsy MARKETING MATERIALS.

12- My account balance in Tipsy became “0”. Is there any problem with my Tipsy account?

No. Each time we prepare the settlement payouts to your bank account, your Tipsy balance becomes zero. You can see your settlement reports and Invoices in the Billing section in the App.

13- What is the rolling reserve amount in my settlement report?

According to the regulations set out by our Payment Provider, 10 percent of your fund will be reserved for a duration of six months to ensure the customers’ right in case of fraudulent use of credit cards. This amount will be released automatically and pays to your account after the mentioned duration.

14- How can I get a VAT Invoice?

Whenever we generate a settlement statement, an Invoice is attached. You can find it from the Billing section in the App.

15- What is a Goodwill gesture?

Time to time, we may gift you with a “Goodwill gesture.” It means, a temporary waiver on one or some service fees such as payout cost.

16- Is it possible to collect a group tip by tipsy?

Yes. For tips over than 3 EUR, users can select the option “Split between all”.

17- How can I add other colleagues to Tipsy?

You can simply ask them to download and install the Tipsy App. Our setup wizard will let them join very fast.

18- How can I customize the Interface theme?

You can change the interface theme to Dark or Light. This option is accessible from the Settings > profile.
